DFIRM Sample
This page contains the Bartow County Georgia FEMA DFIRM database that I worked on while at PBS&J. At PBS&J I was the study lead for this county. During the preliminary phase I worked on this database by attributing the layers, performing topology checks, creating the metadata and performing database QAQC checks. I collected base map data for the study from the community such as community boundaries and transportation layers. I prepared the flood data received from the engineering department by cleaning up and editing the flood plains. I merged the 100, 500 and floodway layer into the S_FLD_HAZ_AR layer and attributed the polygons. Working on this study I snapped BFE lines and attributed all the DFIRM layers. I also managed the labeling of all the panels in the study and had other GIS Analyst labeling the panels.
